About The 2021 Pilot Marcella Fellowship

The Marcella Fellowship is a collaboration of a network of change makers, conveners, and leaders across the country who leverage the power of story-telling, convening, and participatory action to foster the leadership of the next generation of our society’s change makers.

Who should consider joining?

Marcella Fellows are transformational leaders, age 18-24, who are yearning for a collective voice to be heard.

You are bursting with a sense that you must speak out.  You may be the loudest in the room, you may be the one who has done the most research, you may have connected all the dots… and you want somebody to listen.  In your heart of hearts, you aspire to hold space to understand and be understood… not just by your peers, not just if you code-switch well enough, and not by sacrificing how passionately you feel. You build on the wisdom of your ancestors, and continue with the power of your family and community. You are a weaver, not just an orator, and the strands are ancient, but the pattern will be new.

What does the fellowship offer?

Space to ask questions, grapple with them and find solutions through experimentation. You will be participating in an 3-month program that includes a two-day virtual kickoff retreat, weekly calls by Zoom, two opportunities to mastermind with the Redeem the Ten network and community, and structured creative prompts to reflect on Redeem the 10 ideas in action.

Support for community-building projects, as well as for you as an individual to practice the use of reflection as social action. The Fellowship provides you with opportunities to exchange ideas with changemakers from across the world (age 18-24), connections to Redeem the 10 ideas and thought-leaders, and peer mentorship, and social media marketing budget to amplify your content.
